Mouse & Ru is an Early Childhood Preschool, located in Collingwood, who recognizes the importance of the early years in children's development. We deliver an enriching child-centred, family-oriented, play-based learning program.

Our Goal
Our goal is to help alleviate some of the burden of financial constraints and provide opportunities for bright and deserving students to maximize their potential. We believe that every student should have access to quality education, regardless of their financial circumstances. Through our scholarship fund we strive to foster a community of well rounded students who are empowered to make a difference through their education. The funds will be used to cover students tuiton, books and dorm fees.

Our scholarship fund aims to support high achieving students within the Collingwood area who have demonstrated a commitment to academic excellence, extracurriculars and giving back to the community, despite facing financial obstacles.
About the Founder
Kayla Beaudry
Starting the Mouse & Ru scholarship fund has been a dream of mine for the last 10
years. I am so excited to finally make it a reality with the help of others in the community.
I left home when I was 17 to go to university and from that moment on I was on my own.
I worked two jobs and took out several loans to pay for school and the cost of living.
I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Arts and then went on to get my Bachelor’s degree in Education.
Education has always been near and dear to my heart.
When I first met my now husband Kyle, one of our first conversations was about our university experiences.
He shared with me that he had an angel donor, who paid his way through university.
To this day, he has not met the man who forever changed his life.
The moment I heard his story, I knew we needed to pay it forward one day.
I graduated school with a lot of debt and if it had not been for Kyles angel donor, our life together would have started off a lot differently. We would have spent years paying down our school debt, but instead we only had to pay mine off.
Relieving the financial burden of tuition bills, books, and dorm fees, not only allows student to focus more on their education, but it also has an impact on them as they enter the working world and begin their life after graduation.
It is our dream to pay it forward and help as many deserving students as we can, but to do that we need help from the community.
